The Penguin Lessons

Based on a true story and set in 1976 Argentina during a political coup, Coogan plays an Englishman living abroad and teaching in an elite boarding school. While vacationing, he rescues a penguin from an oil spill and then can't seem to get rid of it. This is a wonderful film filled with meaning. It's no mistake the picture is set during this particular period of time, as right wing fascism seems to be very much the order of the day. Pryce and Coogan are both well cast and do their usual top-notch job and bring an extremely strong and moving script home. Heartwarming and funny this is the definition of a gem. A Must See.
