Love, Death and Robots

 

Why I haven't seen this until now, even I don't know. I took the plunge on this because of Ken Lui who did Pantheon which i just finished and I also found out Lui is the same guy who did the English Translation for The 3-Body Problem one of my favorite Science Fictions series. This show is many things but at its heart it is an animated science fiction collection of Short stories and is an anthology. Episodes range in length from 7 minutes to over 20 in some cases. Some episodes are comedies, others horror or drama and several different animations styles are used. Taking all that into consideration means you will never be bored and an anthology means you never be lost no matter how long you take a break from it. Not every one of the 36 episodes so far is a home run, but there are enough of them to keep the episodes steamrolling. And a precious few are so well written, entertaining and, in some cases, trippy that they can't be missed. This has already won 12 Emmy's and a bunch of animation awards, so if you don't believe me, believe the committees...This is an absolute Must See.
