Top Boy

Brilliant, top-notch British crime thriller has very few peers. 5 Seasons stretched out of 12 years means the creators basically served no wine before its time and it shows. The first two seasons were BBC, until Netflix picked up production for s3, but there is never any drop off in quality. The story focuses on drug trafficking in the east end of London and one particular gang of Jamaican-Anglo decent. An extremely complex set of storylines will demand your attention throughout, but once you get into the flow and know who everyone is, it becomes much easier viewing. I can't believe it took me this long to see this show, but now that it is complete, it makes for one helluva' stream and the show has to be in the conversation for best show of the last decade. 2024 BAFTA winner for best drama confirms this show is in rarified air. A Must See!
