The Waterfront

Family Based crime drama combining elements of Ozark, Animal Kingdom and other shows only the setting this time is a small fishing town in North Carolina. All the elements you'd expect to be here are; Family drama, drugs, crooked cops, sex, etc. etc. etc. Everything about this show has been done before and , in most cases, better, but that doesn't mean there isn't some entertainment value here. Holt McCallany plays the patriarch and he's always underrated and Topher Grace is your main villain, so there is that. I just couldn't shake the feeling of "average television" in just about every aspect of the show. That 6.7 IMDB rating is spot on. Not bad, but certainly nothing to get your feathers ruffled over.
