Straw

 

Single mother has a series of unfortunate incidents on the same day and snaps, gets involved in a shooting and then a bank robbery. It's like Tyler Perry tries to make bad movies. It has an unplausible script that was written by hacks, the acting is sophomoric (with the notable exception of Henson) and the direction lacks any sense of nuance whatsoever. So many cringeworthy moments its hard to stomach and the film was obviously made to appeal to low income blacks and I am sure it will resonate with them, but for the rest of us this is a terrible film and tough to finish. Avoid like the plague.
